The Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers’ Association (ICSA) has called on the Government to reopen Ireland’s embassy in Iran, so as to take advantage of the “potentially important market for meat exports”.

A senior Iranian trade official has announced that the country is trying to find ways to boost its exports to the US, despite the threat of sanctions after Washington’s withdrawal from the nuclear deal.

Iran and Finland will ink a comprehensive cooperation agreement in the field of agriculture in the very near future.

During President Hassan Rouhani's visit to China, the two countries signed several agreements to boost trade and financial ties, including an agreement to use their respective currencies.
