The Islamic Republic’s food product exports were on the rise following the removal of the international sanctions in 2016. The Islamic Republic exported over 1.18 million tons of food products worth $2.7 billion during the last fiscal year (ended March 20, 2017), 8 percent more year-on-year in terms of value.


Iran exported over 160 tons of saffron worth $219 million during the nine months to Dec. 22, 2017, indicating a 26% and 33.33% growth in value and volume compared with last year’s corresponding period.


TEHRAN, Jan. 23 (MNA) – Norway’s ambassador to Tehran stressed his country’s resolve to preserve the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, and called for further development of trade ties between the two sides.


TEHRAN, Jan. 22 (MNA) – Chairman of Iran Chamber of Cooperatives Bahman Abdollahi pointed to make use of capacities of cooperatives sector between Iran and Kenya and export of products manufactured by the cooperative societies of the two countries and said, “Islamic Republic of Iran has voiced its readiness to strengthen cooperation and interaction in the field of cooperatives.”
